Marvel Universe - Spider-Man

You don't know how long I've wanted this Spidey fig.At one point ,It was fetching a pretty penny on eBay but with the influx of new Spider-Man figures hitting the pegs ,the price has gone down.To me,this Is the ultimate Spider-Man figure to have.The head sculpt Is superior to any of the other  Spidey Universe figures,imo. Everything about It,from the buck to the smaller scale ,I just love it.

These are all of my Spider-Man figures,In total.I'd love to add a Super Hero Squad scaled Spider -Ham figure.Not sure If It exists ,though.

    My complaint with this Spiderman is the same one I have with a huge amount of the other Spiderman figures , I cant stand when the have the web details inlaid on the figure. Having them as grooves instead of just paint application gives the figure that hand grenade effect and just reminds me of that strange old Toybiz spider armor spiderman. To me the one in the back right in the group shot is a better looing figure.

    The one in the back right was my go to Spidey for a while but he was a little too lanky for me.I like the shorter Spider-Man figures.Ultimately,we all know that nothing beats Mattel's Secret Wars figure ;)

The other day ,my better half and I had the chance to traverse our local mall early In the day.I hate going to malls at peak hours or on the weekends.The crowds are just too damn cool for me.Long story short,our mall now has a toy store! I couldn't believe my eyes.From a far It looked like It was going to be some artsy fartsy place with educational toys ,wooden blocks and model kits,but no!This place had pretty much everything collectors go for nowadays.The name of the store Is "Go!,Toys and Games" and I can honestly say that I've never heard of It before.Everything was a dollar or two extra ,but that's not too bad considering how ridiculously expensive modern toys are In hobby and toy shops these days.I really hope this place sticks around. There Is a nice mix of everything.Marvel Legends,Star Wars  to blind bags to Funko figs.On top of that there are tons of board games   and books. WTF? Yes! 3 3/4 Marvel Legends!!!!!Not alot thou

A GI Joe Post That's Not Classified

As much as I love the Classified line of Joe figures, I feel like there's other Joe stuff out there that deserve a little bit of that spotlight.   Pictured are two custom cardback figure protectors and four Diamond Select 💎  GI Joe figures.   I'd been looking for a way to protect my stashed 3.75  o-ring Joe's when I came across these online. I picked up William Perry's and Snake Eyes protectors and will be adding more as they are made available.   These are unpunched, clean and professional looking cardbacks that feature vintage artwork  on the front and file card on the back.  Diamond Select just doesn't get the props they deserve in my opinion. As much as I dig  their Marvel Minimates line, these Joe Minimates are equally cool! I'm not even sure I want to open these guys up. I mean I want to, but would hate to.

Pop Culture League Assignment - Shelfie

I remember The League of Extraordinary Bloggers back In the day, never partook In any of the festivities, though. This time around, especially with state of  the blogosphere , I feel I need to participate a little more to see If we can breathe life back into toy blogging! So , a big thank you to Brian over at Cool and Collected  for  bringing the League back. Here's my  introductory league assignment post. Very simple ,snap a pic of two of your very favorite shelves. I chose the two shelves hat display all of my vintage . It only recently wrapped around to the bottom shelf with the addition of  a couple of Swamp Thing figures I received from Brother Midnight In a recent trade. I'm hoping to fill out the bottom shelf over the coarse of the winter.
